        A day to visit some of the majestic ancient Roman Catholic churches in and around Bohol and witness how these pilgrim destinations firmly stand as a proof to the Boholano’s devotion to their faith. 

         First off on our list is the second oldest stone church in the Philippines, Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception most commonly known as Baclayon Church & Museum. Though after being heavily damaged during the earthquake in 2013, the church was re-built to keep the Bohol's pride standing and unshaken. Likewise, Baclayon Museum that houses the old convent adjacent to the church where may see centuries-old religious relics, artifacts and other antiquities of the 16th century. Another old and charming church is Loay Parish, located west of Tagbilaran City, then to the Albuquerque Church (or Sta. Monica Church), one of the few that were able to withstand the 34-second shaking during the earthquake. Lastly, take a side trip visit at the iconic Bohol Blood Compact Site that was made in honor of the Sikatuna-Legaspi blood compact that is considered as a significant event in the Philippine history.
