Bedouin Camp

The Bedouin, are a predominantly desert-dwelling Arab ethnic group (previously nomadic, presently mostly settled) found throughout most of the desert belt extending from the Atlantic coast of the Sahara via the Western Desert, Sinai, and Negev to the Arabian Desert. Non-Arab groups as well, notably the Beja of the African coast of the Red Sea, are sometimes called Bedouin. Bedouins are well known for practicing folk music, folk dance and folk poetry.

The 'Bedouins' we see today are loosely referred to the indigenous tribes traversing the desert dunes in the Middle East. Their legacy and heritage however, go much deeper as they are one of the oldest tribes to occupy the sand dunes. Initially wandering nomads, the Bedouin, that desert tours in Dubai now take tourists to interact with, are more sedentary than their ancestors.

A very popular attraction and experience for tourists coming on sightseeing tours in Dubai, Bedouin camps are located deeper into the desert. There are very few camps accessible to the public however and even fewer are open for Dubai sightseeing tours. The Bedouin camps are open for touring are a splendid way to get to know the original Arab way of life.

Tourists on desert safari excursions in Dubai can take a camel rides, enjoy seesha, feast on a true Arabic BBQ dinner and watch belly dancing, a fascinating dance choreographed to the beats of Arabic music. All the while, you can recline in tents and watch the splendor of the starlit desert sky too.
